Frequently Asked
Questions:

Q Why does the Fair
need a Foundation?

A The Foundation is
free to accept dona-
tions, endowments,
acquire land, make
building improve-
ments and can
implement projects
that are not feasible
under the state's
umbrella. The Fair
Foundation can also
secure our fair funds
for our fair in fiscally
unstable times.

Q Doesn't the Fair
make enough money
on its own?

A The County Fair
provides an oppor-
tunity for many of
Amador County's
non-profit organi-
zations to raise funds
but alas, it does not
make enough money
on gate admissions
and other fees to be
self-sustaining.

Q Is my donation tax
deductible?

A Yes, the Fair
Foundation is a
501(c)3 non-profit
corporation.
